Frequently Asked Questions

Q: "What kind of  dance do you offer?"

Tap, Ballet, Modern/Contemporary, Jazz, Hip hop, Combo Classes for Pre-K, Stretch & Strength

Q: "What ages do you teach?"

We teach 3 all the way to adult! We do take students at 2.5 but prefer them to be potty trained.

Q: "Can my student still register?"
We always accept new students. But we do have a cut-off date for recital. This helps to ensure costumes are ordered in a timely manner as well as our dancers be comfortable with their routines. Please email us if you are wanting to register your student!

Q: "I missed the recital registration deadline, can my dancer still be in the show?"

Please email us, as each situation is different.

Q: "How many sessions do you have a year?" "When does the season start? "

We operate year round, with our 'new' season starting in August and concluding with a show in June. We offer summer classes and camps to keep our dancers in shape.

Q: "Can boys dance too?"
Yes! We would love to have you in our classes!

Q: "Do you have a recital?"

We offer 2 shows. We have an informal showcase in December and an annual recital in early June.

Q: "What is your situation with costumes?"

Each student is required to buy each costume needed for the spring recital. Prices do vary depending on the teachers overall concept for each dance. Each costume fee covers tights, accessories, and of course the costume. Your costume will come neatly pressed and hanging in a garment bag. Our informal showcase in December does not require a costume fee. Due to the informality of it, dancers can wear whatever is in their closet upon request of their teacher.

Q: "Do you have a competitive team?"

We do! Please contact Miss Madeline for more information! mkelley@stageimagesdance.com

Q: "Do you do other performances besides recital?"

We try to do as many performances as our students can. We focus on performing, meaning we want our students to get as much experience as they can in the dance world, and to not just be stuck in the studio. Dancers work so hard for so long just to perfect their routine, we want them to showcase it more than once! We try to perform at every community performance, schedule and dancers permitting.

Q: "How do you decide class placement?"

We take age and ability into account when deciding to place dancers. We look at their maturity in class, their technicality and knowledge of the material. For new dancers, we try to place them in a class with others who are similar in age and go from there. We also do a 15 minute informal placement test if student have had previous dance experience.

Q: "Do you offer private classes?"
We do! Please contact our office to find out which teacher will best suit your needs. We offer privates for new and current students, no matter ability or goal.
