Stage Images Dance Studio – The Next Generation is built on a legacy of artistry, community, and intentional training. Originally founded in 1986 by Julie Eppinger Trujillo, Stage Images quickly became one of the most sought-after studios in the Brighton area. Known for its well-rounded training, strong technical foundation, and commitment to personal growth, the studio earned a reputation not only for developing skilled dancers — but for shaping confident, capable individuals.

During its original 13-year run, Stage Images dancers were regularly invited to perform at high-profile events including city parades, charity functions, and the Brighton Centennial Celebration. Alumni pursued a wide range of goals, from professional cheerleading to state-level competitions, guided by a strong foundation in performance, discipline, and character.

The studio welcomed dancers of all ages and levels — from preschoolers to seniors — and offered instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, acro, and even country swing. A unique highlight included a beloved “40s+” group, proof that the joy of dance doesn’t belong to any one age.

In 2000, Julie stepped away from the studio to raise her children — but the heart of Stage Images never left the community. After years of requests from former families and local artists, she and her daughter began reimagining what Stage Images could become. In 2014, they began offering private lessons again, and by fall of 2016, they returned to teaching in a small capacity out of South Elementary.

Now, under the name Stage Images Dance Studio – The Next Generation, the studio proudly carries forward the values it was founded on — with fresh energy, updated programming, and a renewed commitment to developing dancers for life. Today’s dancers train in a structured, supportive environment that emphasizes strong technique, thoughtful progression, and community connection.
